Butterfly House

The Butterfly House, an extension of the Missouri Botanical Gardens, is located in Faust Park in Chesterfield Missouri. Visitors are able to walk through the Butterfly Conservatory which houses more than a thousand tropical butterflies in free flight from around the world. One hundred-fifty tropical plant species are the home to these 60 species of butterflies. Also available to observe are hundreds of chrysalises, from which at any moment, a new butterfly could emerge! The Conservatory is kept warm for a perfect butterfly habitat. Visitors should dress appropriately! An admission fee is charged. Children 2 and under are free. Educational classes and events are available throughout the year. The Butterfly House is also a wonderful place to host a special occasion or reception!
